Friday 1 November at 7pm: All Saints' Day service (said)

Saturday 2 November at 7pm: Requiem Mass for All Souls' Day:
The main music comprises the setting of the Requiem (Misa de defuntos) by Cristóbal de Morales (c.1500-1553) for five voices, without question the finest Spanish composer of the early sixteenth century. Come and hear this austerely devotional music in a liturgical context.

At the request of the Rector there will be NO music at the 9.15 Eucharist as there service will be combined with the vestry meeting.

Sunday 3 November at 6pm: Choral Evensong for the Feast of All Saints

Music includes:

Setting: Stanford in C
Anthem: O what their joy (Harris)

Thursday 24 October, 7pm - The Hall School Chapel Choir (London) will sing Choral Evensong here at 7pm (and will conclude before 8pm). The main music is by Herbert Brewer and Charles Wood. The Hall School is an independent day school for boys aged 4 to 13, established in 1889 and based in the Belsize Park, Hampstead area of North London (see http://www.hallschool.co.uk/sections/92).

Saturday, 26 October, 9am – Exhibition of student work from Creative Image 9am to 12 noon at Christ Church hall.  First 100 visitors get the chance to try their hand at creating a masterpiece for their Christmas table.  Profit from morning will go to the church building fund. Entrance R60.00 (includes refreshments). Contact Wendy Bloy – 082 707 8823.

Sunday 27 October – Special Vestry Meeting after the 9.15 service to discuss 2014 budget and  election of new wardens. Please send all nominations for churchwardens to Carolyn Chisadza.  The raffle will also be drawn during the vestry so please ensure that all monies and raffle books are returned before then.
