Born 300 years ago in 1714, C.P.E. Bach was the most famous and prolific of J.S. Bach’s sons. This concert of absorbing but little-heard music is not to be missed! John Reid Coulter and Naomi Barker present a programme of music by C.P.E. Bach here at Christ Church. John, who studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Netherlands), will perform on his superb fortepiano while Naomi, originally from Johannesburg but now settled in England, having completed her PhD at the Royal Holloway in London, will be playing the traverso (Baroque flute). Admission is R90 (R70 for concessions). Please spread the word about this special Pretoria concert by two outstanding musicians.

This coming Sunday, 23 February 2014, the Bishop of Pretoria will visit Christ Church for confirmation and the institution of Fr. Sam Isaacs as our Priest in Charge.

Please note that there will be one combined choral eucharist at 8AM. The normal 7:30 AM and 9:15 AM eucharist services will not take place this Sunday.

Please note that the requiem mass for Don Macmillan will be at 2PM

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Macmillan on Monday the 17th of February. He was a dedicated and outstanding member of the parish and sang in the choir for 30 years. He will be sorely missed. May his soul rest in peace.

Please be advised that a Requiem Mass will be held for the late Donald Macmillan at Christ Church Arcadia this Friday the 21st of  February 2014, at 14.00hrs.
