Evensong this Sunday 3 March

Evensong for the Third Sunday in Lent includes Miserere (William Byrd) as introit, Carolus Andreae fauxbourdons for the evening canticles, and Josquin's monumental Miserere (Ps. 51) for the anthem. This will be the first performance of the complete setting by Josquin in Pretoria, and probably in Africa, and has taken only about 510 years to reach these shores. The Choir of Christ Church is directed by George King. All welcome to this quintessential Anglican service -- no admission charge but a collection will be taken. Parking under guard.
